Grand Theft Auto trilogy released on Kindle Fire, Fire TV

Older games priced at £2.99/$4.99 each, while San Andreas is £4.99/$6.99

Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas have been released on the Amazon Appstore for Kindle Fire devices.

Available on Kindle Fire tablets, and also on Amazon Fire TV in the US, the two older games are priced at £2.99/$4.99 each, while San Andreas costs £4.99/$6.99.

As spotted by Pocket Gamer, those who buy San Andreas between now and June 11 will earn 2,000 Amazon Coins, worth £20, to spend on other apps and games.

Revealed in late March, Amazon Fire TV is a $99 micro-console that streams movies and TV shows, but also plays a range of Android-based games. The latter feature puts the system in direct competition with the likes of Ouya, GameStick and Mad Catz Mojo.

While Fire TV is available across the US, Amazon has not yet revealed European release plans. "Fire TV is not available outside the US at this time and we're not able to speculate on future plans," a representative for the company told CVG when the device was announced.
