Is Ed Boon teasing a new Mortal Kombat?

Series ko-kreator keeps tweeting kryptic messages

Mortal Kombat ko-kreator Ed Boon can be a kryptic guy at times.

After all, what do you expect from the guy who, along with other kreator John Tobias, used his name for one of the most well-hidden secrets of all time, Mortal Kombat's Noob Saibot (Boon Tobias backwards)?

This time he's been winding gamers up with a kollection of kryptic tweets seemingly kounting down to something.

He first started earlier this month, when he simply tweeted: "Square root of 841." The answer's 29, in kase you're wondering.

The next day he asked how many days there were in February in a non-leap year. You guessed it, 28. The day after that... well, you know where this is going.

After that... he went quiet again. Still, people kontinue to wait eagerly for June 2, the date his kountdown would run out were he still doing it.

His last teaser was nearly two weeks ago though, which led some to believe the reveal has been skrapped. As if to blow a big raspberry at that notion, old Boondock Saints is back again, with this little beauty:

The obvious konklusion to kome to is Mortal Kombat X, because 2011's Mortal Kombat reboot was the ninth game in the series.

But Boon, being ever the cheeky chap, is trying to wind us up by posting potentially nonsensikal komments to people's responses.

After someone suggested it meant a Mortal Kombat X Killer Instinct krossover game, he replied: "I didn't think you'd pick up on that." Similarly, when another follower said it might be Mortal Kombat X Street Fighter, he said: "U R Good!"

Meanwhile, someone suggesting the most likely answer and saying they hoped it meant Mortal Kombat 10 would be at E3, Boon replied: "I wouldn't hold your breath".
