Talion must recruit the forces he seeks to destroy in this new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The video shows how the Wraith-haunted ranger will use his otherworldly abilities to bend lowly orcs to his will. After releasing them back into their warlike society, those that survive long enough will rise up to become war chiefs and submit their forces to Talion's command.
Even without legions of orcs to boss around, Talion looks capable of holding his own in the trailer's crowded combat scenes.
The game also features a 'Nemesis System', in which enemy relationships and characteristics are shaped by the actions and decisions the player makes throughout the game. When the player re-encounters certain enemies, they will remember what the player did before and react accordingly.
A trailer released earlier this week shows how players can upgrade their weaponry using runes.
Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor is a new story set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings. It's set for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 7.
