Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced a free trial version of Battlefield 4 for US PS Plus subscribers.
Beginning today, Tuesday May 27, PS3 Plus members can download a trial version of the title containing the full Battlefield 4 "base game". The content will be available for 20 hours from the moment users being playing.
The promotion hasn't been announced for Europe, although we've asked Sony and EA if there are plans to offer something similar outside of the States.
"The world is on the brink of chaos, China is the tinderbox and you and your squad are the inadvertent spark that could ignite a global conflict," reads an official description of the single-player game.
"As Sergeant Daniel Recker, you play as a member of an elite group of unlikely heroes known as Tombstone squad, navigating the turmoil around you as you fight to save the final hope for peace."
CVG's Battlefield 4 review labelled the shooter "a delightfully slick introduction to the next-generation of consoles and more than a good enough reason on its lonesome to pick up a PS4 or Xbox One to see what high-end PC-owning players have been banging on about for years".
