Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham announced with trailer

TT Games' latest coming to current and last-gen systems

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced the third game in the Lego Batman series.

According to the studio, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham "takes Batman and Robin outside Gotham and into an out-of-this-world adventure".

Batman will once again join forces with other super heroes from the DC Comics Universe as they head to outer space in an attempt to stop Brainiac from destroying the Earth.

Brainiac has used the power of the Lantern Rings to shrink down worlds and add them to his collection of miniature cities from across the universe. It's up to Batman, the other DC heroes and even some villains to travel to each Lantern World and collect the Lantern Rings to stop Brainiac.

Warner promises there will be more than 150 unique characters to unlock, including members of the Justice League and big figures such as Killer Croc and Solomon Grundy.

It also says Brainiac's mind controlling abilities and the power of the Lantern Rings will "bring unexpected twists to the classic characters' personalities".

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will be released this autumn on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Wii U, Vita, 3DS and PC.
