Zelda Williams to do 'something extra special' at E3

Celebrity gamer teases possible announcement at June show

Zelda Williams has indicated she will be "doing something extra special" at E3 2014.

The celebrity gamer teased on Twitter that she would be involved with something due to happen during the conference in June.

Williams has worked with Nintendo in the past, due to the link between her name and that of the Legend Of Zelda series.

Her father, Robin Williams, named her Zelda because he was a huge fan of the NES original, which later led to Nintendo approaching the pair to star in TV commercials for the release of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D on 3DS. Zelda Williams also hosted many of the live Zelda music concerts.

Many have assumed Zelda's tweet relates to a possible reveal of an upcoming Legend Of Zelda game.

However, when a follower jokingly tweeted, saying "geez, I wonder what it is," she replied: "I'm going to guarantee you, it's not what you think."

It is common knowledge that Nintendo is working on a new Zelda adventure for Wii U, which is due to be shown at E3 this year.

However, the publisher will once again forgo a traditional E3 press conference, instead opting to conduct a "digital event" to showcase its new games and announcements.
