FIFA 14 World Cup Kick Off mode released on Xbox One and PS4

Ultimate Team World Cup update expected to launch later on Friday

EA has released a free FIFA 14 update introducing World Cup Kick Off mode on Xbox One and PS4.

The mode features all 32 national teams competing at this summer's tournament in Brazil, the Estadio do Maracana stadium, which will host the World Cup final on July 13, plus the official Adidas Brazuca match ball.

A separate World Cup mode within FIFA Ultimate Team on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One is currently scheduled to launch later today following a delay.

EA said in an update at midday UK time on Friday: "All FIFA 14 players on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC are currently being prompted to download an update. This is in preparation for FUT World Cup, which we are aiming to launch later today, UK time. We'll provide another status update on FUT World Cup today by 7pm UK time."

The Ultimate Team Mode will let players build a squad of players from all 32 national teams participating in this summer's tournament. It will feature all team crests and kits, the official ball and the Estadio do Marcana.
