Abe's Oddysee begins in this cinematic trailer for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty.
The game is a remake of the 1997 adventure classic which kicked off the Oddworld series, including new graphics and updated mechanics. The video shows off the darkly humorous industrial perils Abe will navigate in a quest to free his people from enslavement.
Oddworld Inhabitants said in April that it is "really close" to finishing up work on the game, and though it's not yet ready to reveal the release date, it will be soon; the developer pledged to share the date before E3 2014 begins on Monday.
Series creator Lorne Lanning has said New 'n' Tasty would need to sell 250,000 copies to fund a remake of Abe's Exoddus and 500,000 copies to fund an entirely new Oddworld game.
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is planned for release on PS3, PS4, PS Vita (with Cross-Buy on Sony platforms), Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux.
