The new Lara Croft will appear again in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics revealed at the Microsoft E3 media briefing Monday.
The trailer showed Croft in therapy for the traumatic events of the first game, quickly moving to her adventuring through a new set of ruins. The game was announced as one of Xbox One's 2015 titles.
"Multiple locations around the world will be filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth and over three times larger than we could achieve before," Square Enix product development head Darrell Gallagher said in a prepared statement.
"Our digital actors will rival CG quality, and after hearing the cry from our fans loud and clear, we will put the tombs back into Tomb Raider, all in our gritty Survival-Action style."
Crystal Dynamics has previously stated that it was working on a new Tomb Raider title as well as an unannounced new IP project.
