Battlefield Hardline's multiplayer beta begins today, Electronic Arts announced at its E3 press conference Monday.
The beta is available on PC and PS4. PC and PS4 players can register for the beta by visiting Battlefield's official website.
The announcement followed six minutes of gameplay demonstrating the cops-and-robbers shooter's online multiplayer mode. The video swaps between the perspectives of a criminal player with a bag full of loot and the police force attempting to halt his escape.
Vehicles figured heavily into the gunfights across the streets of Los Angeles, with vans and police cars serving as both means of conveyance and moving cover, and a gasoline tanker creating an explosive escape route.
Battlefield Hardline is planned for launch on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 21 in North America, October 23 in Europe, and October 24 in the UK.
Pre-orderers will receive the Deluxe Edition of the game, which includes three gear-bestowing content packs and 10 randomly selected battlepacks.
