Ubisoft opened its E3 press conference with a video showing off the first five minutes of Far Cry 4.
The upcoming open world shooter trades the tropical jungles of previous series entries for the fictional Himalyan country of Kyrat.
The Far Cry 4 release date is set for November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe on consoles and PC.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently said he expects the game to perform even better than Far Cry 3, which has sold nine million copies since it released in December 2012.
Guillemot has also said Far Cry 4 will include "a lot more multiplayer" than its predecessor.
