From Software and Sony reveal 'Bloodborne'

New colaborative title previous leaked as 'Project Beast'

'Bloodborne' is the official title for the game previously leaked as 'Project Beast', a colaborative effort between Sony and Dark Souls developer From Software.

Sony's Shuhei Yoshida officially revealed the game during Sony's pre-E3 press conference on Monday, before showing off a short cinematic trailer.

Here's the official blurb:

"Face your fears as you search for answers in the ancient city of Yharnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire. Danger, death and madness lurk around every corner of this dark and horrific world, and you must discover its darkest secrets in order to survive."

The game was pinned for a vague 2015 release. No further gameplay details were revealed, but you can watch the video shown during the press conference above.

Several previous leaks of the game as 'Project Beast' offered an early look at screenshots showing the gloomy scenes shown in the above video.

A Sony employee who occasionally posts on the NeoGAF forum teased in January that the game in question would be "a whole different beast" (emphasis added).
