Nintendo has shown the first footage from the latest Legend Of Zelda game on Wii U.
The trailer shows a new Link, wearing blue, escaping a large Octorok-like enemy.
Before showing the brief trailer, game director Eiji Aonuma discussed his vision for the next game.
Whereas previous 3D Zelda games such as Wind Waker gave the impression of a large world but were instead made up of smaller regions, the new Wii U title features one massive, sprawling field.
This new equivalent of Hyrule Field stretches out to mountains far into the distance, which Link can travel to without any break in gameplay.
A name for the game has yet to be confirmed, but Nintendo stated that it will be released in 2015.
