The adapter, which has ports for four GameCube controller and plugs in to the Wii U system through two of its four USB ports, will retail for $19.99. The adapter also supports Wavebird wireless controllers.

The Smash Bros.-emblazoned controller will cost $29.99.

The two products will also be sold bundled together with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for $99.99.

The controllers were originally used with Super Smash Bros. Melee. Though Super Smash Bros. Brawl offered a variety of control options using the Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and Classic Controller, Wii's built-in support for GameCube controllers emerged as the fan favorite. Wii U does not natively support GameCube accessories.

The Nintendo 3DS edition of Super Smash Bros. is scheduled to release in October.
