Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy dash through high-speed tracks and battle foes with special abilities and energy grappling hooks in the gameplay footage.

Meanwhile, the 3DS trailer from Sanzaru Games substitutes jungle badger Sticks for the now kidnapped Amy, showing off her boomerang-wielding skills that let her grab items and push buttons from around corners.

Sega detailed the plot and gameplay mechanics fans can expect from Sonic Boom's first game properties last week. Both games are part of a new transmedia Sonic "universe" revealed in February, complete with an animated television show.

Both games are planned to release in November.
