Rise of the Tomb Raider listed for Xbox 360 and PS3

Retailers including Amazon suggest the game may be coming to older platforms

Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rise of the Tomb Raider have been listed online by Amazon UK. The official Xbox website also lists an Xbox 360 version.

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced the game last week for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC during holiday 2015.

Asked today if the game is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 too, a Square Enix UK spokesperson pointed CVG towards the italicised words below, which appeared in last week's official announcement press release:

"With the power of the new generation, and our proprietary Foundation engine, our high octane action moments will be even more epic."

Crystal Dynamics' 2013 Tomb Raider reboot launched on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 last March, before Tomb Raider Definitive Edition hit new-gen consoles in January 2014.

The studio is also currently working on Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Much like its predecessor, 2010's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Temple of Osiris is an isometric puzzle game designed for co-op play. It's "coming soon" to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
