BioWare's Mark Darrah, who is executive producer on Dragon Age: Inquisition, has clarified that the game's 40 different endings are variations that reflect decisions a player has made.
The explanation was given on Twitter, and follows comments last week from fellow producer Cameron Lee, who initially said Dragon Age: Inquisition would have 40 endings.

At E3, BioWare held a stream showing off fresh Dragon Age Inquisition gameplay footage, and offering insight from series creative director Mike Laidlaw and executive producer Mark Darrah.
EA has confirmed a Dragon Age Inquisition release date of October 7 in North America and October 10 in Europe.
