Outlast now available on Xbox One

PS4 and PC survival horror title quietly arrives on Xbox marketplace

Outlast, a first-person survival horror game previously available on PC and PlayStation 4, has arrived unannounced on the Xbox Marketplace.

Developed by Red Barrels and released for PC in 2013 and PS4 in February, the game is listed as available for Xbox One right now, as spotted by NeoGAF.

No announcements have previously been made about the arrival of the game on Xbox One, and the release seems to conflict with the controversial parity clause in Microsoft's ID@Xbox self-publishing scheme, which states that games must release for Xbox One on the same day if not sooner than other platforms.

Despite this, Microsoft did confirm in March that it would work on a case-by-case basis with developers unable to meet the ID@Xbox requirements.

Outlast has proven a critical success on the PlayStation 4. An expansion pack was released last month in the form of the 'Whistleblower' DLC.
