Microsoft has no plans to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to box 360 or PC.
The company said in a Halo Waypoint blog post: "We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can't support it.
"We are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60 fps."
343 Industries Bonnie Ross also told Eurogamer that this year's Halo compilation isn't planned for PC, and neither is 2015's Halo 5 Guardians.
"Right now we are focused on Xbox One," she said. "We've been on PC before, and Dan [Ayoub, 343 executive producer] has had games like Halo: Spartan Assault on there. We're listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One."
Set for release on November 11, The Master Chief Collection will include Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4, as well as guaranteed access to the Halo 5 Guardians multiplayer beta, which will commence in November.
