FTL: Faster Than Light, the critically acclaimed spaceship management sim, has been discounted on both Steam and the App Store.
At the time of going to press, the PC version is currently available on Steam for £2.79 ($3.99) for the next thirty hours. Meanwhile, the iOS version appears to have been permanently reduced to £4.99 ($6.99).
Subset Games' breakthrough title was first released on PC and Mac in September 2012, and in April this year was ported to iPad. The project started out on Kickstarter in 2012 and managed to raise more than $200,000 on the crowd-funding platform.
The studio's co-founder, Justin Ma, recently ruled out a Vita edition due to the portable console not meeting certain hardware requirements.
"We looked into [a Vita port] extensively and in the end it just turns out the screen is too small for us. Sorry about that," Ma wrote in response to a fan's query on Twitter.
The Steam Summer Sale, Valve's annual discount spree, has slashed the prices of many popular titles for a limited time. Saints Row IV, Dark Souls and Surgeon Simulator are three of many titles that have been discounted by up to 75 per cent.
