The upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie will be accompanied by a tie-in video game for 3DS, Activision has announced.
The simply-titled 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' game is a top-down third-person brawler starring the four turtles as playable characters.
The turtles will battle 'mad genius' Baxter Stockman's army of robots and mutants, who've teamed up with the Foot Clan to wreak havoc in New York City.
The game is in development at Paris, France-based studio Magic Pockets, who developed the 2013 video game on Xbox 360, PS3, and DS, along with several dozen other co-developed titles on Nintendo's last-gen portable.
The game will allow players to swap between the four turtles on the fly using the four directions of the d-pad for character selection, while using the lower screen for map display.
As you might expect, each turtle will have their own unique abilities, and can be upgraded as they defeat enemies and craft new weapons along the way.
The Michael Bay-produced motion picture is due out in August. Expect the game around that time.
