Child of Light released on Vita

Ubisoft's turn-based RPG makes the jump to Sony's handheld

The Vita version of Child of Light has been released.

The turn-based RPG is available to purchase digitally in standard edition for £11.99/$14.99, while a complete edition containing all downloadable content is also available at retail and digitally.

Developed by a small team of developers at Ubisoft Montreal, Child of Light is inspired by fairytales, epic poems and the watercolour artworks of the Golden Age of Illustration.

Set in the magical world of Lemuria, the game follows the story of Aurora, a young princess on a quest to win back the sun, the moon and the stars stolen by the mysterious Queen of the Night.

We labelled the title "beautiful and heartfelt" in our 8/10 Child of Light review, noting. "This fairytale is a testament to the JRPG formula's creative storytelling ability, even if it misses a few key beats... Ubisoft Montreal's efforts come incredibly close and shine a light on the very best elements of Japanese style role-playing games."
