Lindsay Lohan sues over alleged appearance in GTA 5

Actress claims Rockstar used her image, voice, and clothes line

Lindsay Lohan has sued Rockstar Games over an alleged misuse of her image in Grand Theft Auto V.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in a Manhattan court, the Associated Press reports. The actress' suit claims that the Lacey Jonas character, who appears in a mission where players must help her avoid paparazzi, was modeled after Lohan without her permission.

The suit claims Lohan's image, voice, and even styles from her clothing line are depicted. The game also features another allegedly Lohan-inspired mission in its version of the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, where Lohan once lived.

Rockstar parent company Take-Two declined the AP's request for comment. Reports of the lawsuit first surfaced in December on celebrity gossip blog TMZ.

Sales of GTA 5 surpassed $1 billion within three days of its release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. The open-world crime title will hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One in autumn.
