World of Tanks retail edition dated for Xbox 360

£16 starter pack for the popular military MMO arriving in August

Wargaming has announced a street date for World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition Combat Ready Starter Pack.

The retail edition of the massively popular military MMO will launch in North and South America on August 12, Asia-Pacific on August 14 and in Europe on August 29.

Priced at £15.99/$19.99, the bundle will include a number of items designed to enhance the free-to-play experience - all Xbox Live account holders will be able to participate in a free seven-day trial.


Combat Ready Starter Pack contents

  • The premium Panzer 38H Tier II German light tank, currently available through the retail package for a limited time
  • 3 days of premium account time granting 50% boost in accumulated Silver and experience
  • 200,000 in-game Silver
  • 1,500 in-game Gold
  • 30-day voucher code for Xbox Live Gold status

World of Tanks originally launched on PC in Russia in August 2010 before rolling out worldwide the following year. As of December 2013, the game had amassed 75,000,000 registered players worldwide and 1.1 million peak concurrent players.

The Xbox Live Arcade version of the game launched in February 2014, while a mobile version called World of Tanks Blitz was released in May 2014.
