Until Dawn resurfaces with recent trademark filing

Amidst recent rumors of a shift to PS4 and Project Morpheus VR

Long dormant first-person horror game Until Dawn has resurfaced in a recent US trademark filing.

Until Dawn was originally revealed for PS3 at the 2012 Gamescom expo for a 2013 release, but failed to materialize. Sony has revealed nothing more of the title since 2012.

In development at Supermassive Games, Until Dawn is described as a teen horror, with early trailers showing players using the PS Move motion controller as a flashlight to navigate a gloomy and seemingly haunted forest environment.

While Sony has given no reason for the long delay, it was recently rumored that the title has been transitioned from PS3 to PS4 as a virtual reality game to be played with the Project Morpheus VR headset.

Speaking in March in response to the claim, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida acknowledged, "I think, in terms of genre, that's a really good fit," but declined to confirm the news. He did, however, confirmed that the game is still in development.
