A Realm Reborn launched on PC and PS3 in August 2013 and on PS4 in April 2014. CVG's Final Fantasy XIV PS4 review called the title "the best Final Fantasy game in years and the finest MMO you can currently play on a console".
Final Fantasy XIV could yet launch on Xbox One, but according to Square Enix there's a stumbling block concerning Xbox Live rules which currently prevent massively multiplayer games from working across platforms.
