Banjo Kazooie bundle added to Xbox 360 Marketplace

Kazooie and Tooie now available together for a reduced price

A new bundle combining Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie is now available on the Xbox 360 Marketplace.

The new compilation, entitled Banjo Games Bundle, features the XBLA versions of Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie.

Although the games can still be bought individually for £9.99 / €14.39 / $14.99 each, the new bundle offers both for a reduced price of £11.99 / €14.99 / $14.99.

Originally developed by Rare and released the Nintendo 64 in 1998, Banjo Kazooie is a 3D platformer starring a bear called Banjo and his bird friend, Kazooie, who rides in his backpack.

The game was praised for its impressive textured graphics, catchy music and witty sense of humour. Banjo Kazooie sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide and its sequel, Banjo Tooie, came out two years later to similar acclaim.

The enhanced version of Banjo Kazooie was released on Xbox Live Arcade in December 2008, with the sequel Banjo Tooie following in April 2009.

Both ports were handled by 4J Studios, the Dundee-based studio which later also ported Perfect Dark to XBLA and subsequently enjoyed success with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Minecraft.

Last year Grant Kirkhope, the composer of both games' soundtracks, made the tracks available for sale on his website.
