Last-gen Assassin's Creed news coming 'soon', says Ubisoft CEO

Rumored 'Assassin's Creed Comet' title could be unveiled soon

Ubisoft will announce the first details on a new Assassin's Creed game for Xbox 360 and PS3 "soon".

That's according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, who said during a financials call today that official news on the title, which has been rumored to be titled Assassin's Creed Comet, will "come soon". Guillemot held off revealing anything further.

According to previous rumors, which emerged alongside leaked information for Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Comet will let players sail up and down the Atlantic coast in control of a Templar sailor.

The sources described the Xbox 360 and PS3 game as a cross between Assassin's Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Players will be able to visit New York City among other east coast destinations.

The main protagonist of the game is allegedly a templar named Shay. In his travels he'll run into Connor Kenway's first-mate-turned-Assassin Adewale and Kenway's son Haytham, among other fictional and historical figures.

Assassin's Creed Comet is rumored for a late 2014 release alongside the new-gen-only Assassin's Creed Unity.
