Naughty Dog's Uncharted series would be "a good candidate" for a PS4 remaster, according to PlayStation's president of worldwide studios.
Sony will release The Last of Us Remastered later this month, with the PS4 version of last year's PS3 game running in 1080p at 60fps.
Asked if Sony plans to update more PS3 games for release on its latest home console, worldwide studios boss Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer: "There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed. That would be a good candidate. We don't want to flood the market with remade games either."
Yoshida also pointed out that almost half of PS4 owners didn't previously own a PS3. "That's lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it's a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed."
The title stars an older Nathan Drake who has been out of the game for several years. Forced back into the world of thieves, he sets out on a globetrotting adventure in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure.
