Two Madden NFL 15 videos published by EA this week show the game's more realistic defensive options and its arcade-inspired Gauntlet challenge mode.
EA has promoted the American football title's revamped defensive game as its star feature, lending effective new options to what has typically been the weaker half of play.
The trailer titled "War in the Trenches 2.0" shows off these options, including a new defensive camera, timing-based jumps off the line, and special moves for rushers.
The other trailer introduces The Gauntlet, a new mode featured in the Skills Trainer. Players progress through rules-and-physics bending challenges, like kicking a 110 yard field goal in 220 mph winds.
Players must overcome higher powered "boss battles" every five levels to make their way through all 40 of the Gauntlet's challenges.
The game is set to release on August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Check out this Madden NFL 2015 screenshot gallery for a closer look at the game in action.
