Following a leak at the weekend, Tekken 7 has been officially announced at the EVO 2014 tournament.
According to Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada speaking at EVO, he did not intend to unveil the fighter during the weekend's proceedings, despite promising a reveal for one of three games he's working on.
While the original leak indicated that the Unreal Engine 4 powered game will release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only, Harada made no mention of platforms. Nor are platforms or a release date referenced in the trailer, embedded below.
Harada said in January that he will announce "2 or 3" games throughout 2014.
The respected producer also indicated last year that the long-awaited Tekken X Street Fighter may be in development for new-gen consoles.
