The European cost of Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty has been cut "to ensure as fair a price as possible with regards to the base US price of $29.99".
Development studio Oddworld Inhabitants said today that the game will now be available for £17.99/€20.99 rather than £19.99/€24.99.
A "ground-up" remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, the title is due for release on PS4 as a digital download from the PSN Store on July 22 in the US and July 23 in Europe. It's cross-buy, meaning buyers will be able to download PS3 and Vita versions free of charge upon release.
Bonus content previously confirmed for the US will also be released in
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe regions (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia, India, Australia and New Zealand).
Anyone with a PlayStation Plus subscription who buys the game in its first two weeks of availability will receive access to a new level entitled Alf's Escape when it launches shortly after the game's release, and a Scrub Abe in-game outfit on day one, both free of charge.
The Alf's Escape mission sees players attempting to sneak Alf out of a factory and to freedom. It's billed as "an all-new area of RuptureFarms containing brand new puzzles and fiendish hazards that'll ensure a fresh challenge for even the most seasoned Oddworld fans, as well as specially recorded dialogue".
New 'n' Tasty is also planned for release on Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux.
