Mortal Kombat X to feature 'at least' one guest character

Next game in the series to draw from another franchise

The new Mortal Kombat X will star 'at least' one guest character, it has been revealed.

Franchise co-creator Ed Boon made the revelation at the Evo 2014 fighting game event in Las Vegas over the weekend, reports MP1st, confirming that the game will star at least one fighter from another franchise.


This comes just after developer NetherRealm Studios confirmed the inclusion of classic fighter Raiden with a new Mortal Kombat X trailer.

The 2011-released Mortal Kombat game saw guest appearances from God of War's Kratos (in the PS3 and Vita versions only) and post-release DLC character and horror icon Freddie Krueger.

Boon offered no hints as to which character or franchise will make a guest appearance in the new game.

Mortal Kombat X will be released on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in 2015.
