Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy hits Vita this week in the US

HD remasters launched in Europe and Australia in early July

The Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy for Vita will launch this Tuesday, July 22 in the US, Sony has confirmed.

Already available in Europe, the package features remastered versions of Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Locked & Loaded and Ratchet & Clank 3.

Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy for Vita was released in Europe on July 2 and in Australia on July 9. The trilogy originally released on PS3 in Europe in June 2012 and in North America as Ratchet & Clank HD Collection in August of the same year.

Insomniac Games community lead James Stevenson said in May: "Since the HD trilogy was released, one of the biggest requests from many of you was for a version of the Trilogy to come to Vita.

"We're really excited by how well the Vita port of the HD Trilogy has turned out. It looks amazing and is a terrific way to play the classic Ratchet & Clank adventures."

In June, Sony announced Ratchet & Clank for PS4, while also releasing the first trailer for the upcoming movie. The company said the PS4 remake of the original series entry will feature "updated gameplay along with completely new visuals that rival the best PS4 games on the market".
