First Halo: Nightfall trailer released

Microsoft debuts first footage of the live-action Halo series

Microsoft has released the debut Halo: Nightfall trailer, offering your first proper look at the live-action series in motion.

Halo: Nightfall is an upcoming live-action digital series helmed by Ridley Scott, and is to be included as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

"Halo: Nightfall introduces a pivotal new character, Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth's most powerful and secretive military branch," reads the official video description.

"When he and his team are caught in a horrific biological attack, they unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, where they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives."

Earlier today Microsoft provided the first look at Agent Locke, the main character in the upcoming live-action series.

Agent Locke will be played by Mike Colter (The Good Wife, American Horror Story, Zero Dark Thirty), who was rumoured to be involved in the project back in April.

Episodes of Halo: Nightfall will be released via Halo: The Master Chief Collection on a weekly basis commencing from the game's November 11 launch.
