Blizzard Entertainment has patched the second of five scheduled DLC updates to its celebrated card strategy game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
The collection of five DLC patches are different chapters of a single-player campaign called Curse of Naxxramas, of which the first chapter was free and the remainder are available for $6.99/£4.99 or 700 in-game gold each.
Each Naxxramas episode offers a trio of increasingly challenging boss fights which, when defeated, unlock new cards to play online. Each wing also introduces character-specific challenges as well as a Heroic Difficulty mode.
The second wing offers three bosses to overcome (Noth, Heigan and Loatheb) as well as a four additional cards (Stoneskin Gargoyle, Unstable Ghoul, Sludge Belcher and Loatheb)
CVG's review of the first Naxxramas wing was largely negative.
"You forget how mundane AI is when compared to the unpredictability and unstoppable brutality of online warfare," it wrote.
"Battle-hardened players won't find the Naxxramas boss battles, of which there are three, particularly challenging. Even on Heroic Mode it won't take too long to overcome."
Hearthstone won CVG's Game of the Month Award for April. The collectable card game is available on PCs and iPad, with Android and iPhone versions being worked on.
