King of Goron clan wields a giant hammer in manic new footage

Recently-confirmed playable character and Goron chief Darunia gets his time in the limelight in the latest Hyrule Warriors gameplay video.

Darunia wields a giant hammer, along with the ability to throw molten rocks of lava from Death Mountain, and curl into a giant ball of rock for super attacks.


Darunia was confirmed as a playable character in a recent issue of Japan's Famitsu magazine, along with Sheik - Princess Zelda in disguise - who also got a gameplay trailer of her own on Wednesday. Ruto, princess of the Zoras, was also confirmed, although footage of her in action is yet to be released.

Numerous other Hyrule Warriors trailers have been published in recent weeks, showing off Link, Impa, Zelda, Agitha, new character Lana and the Fire Rod item.

The Hyrule Warriors release date has been confirmed as August 14 in Japan, September 19 in Europe and September 26 in North America.
