The Last of Us add-ons bring cosmetic upgrades

New maps and weapons coming in August

This week's US PlayStation Store update sees the release of new DLC for The Last of Us on PS3 and the 'Remastered' PS4 version.

The Grit and Gear Bundle, The Professional Sports Bundle and new Gestures add-ons were released today, August 5, kicking off a spate of new content that will be released throughout August following the release of the PS4 game last week, says Naughty Dog.

New Gestures are available piecemeal, or can be grabbed as a bundle for $2.49, while the Grit and Gear Bundle, which features six items including masks, hats and helmets, can be had for $6.99. The Professional Sports Bundle costs $7.99 and contains seven items.

More content is planned for release throughout August, including new maps and weapons. "We have more Add-On content coming two weeks from now. From that drop we revealed one map and showed off some of the new weapons on our Twitch channel in July," said Naughty Dog community rep Eric Monacelli. "We'll detail another new map, the weapons, and some new bundles over the next couple of weeks."

This new content is not included free for owners of the PS3 season pass, since season pass contented concluded in May.

The The Last of Us Remastered was released for PS4 on July 29 in North America and August 1 in UK. CVG's The Last of Us Remastered review said "one of last year's highlights is now one of 2014's best games."
