Molyneux's Godus released via iOS

Fable creator's Populous successor hits Apple devices

Godus, the new god game from Fable developer Peter Molyneux and his team at 22Cans, has been released for iOS platforms.

The iPhone and iPad game weighs in at 91.5mb and, is free to download with in-app purchases in the form of Gems, available in packs costing from $4.99 up to $49.99. Godus was released in beta form via Steam Early Access in September last year, and costs $20 in the US and £15 in the UK. It's unclear how the two versions of the game may differ.

Here are the first screenshots of the iOS version:

Godus, pitched by Molyneux as a spiritual successor to his god game classic Populous, was green lit for development after a successful Kickstarter crowd funding campaign that raised £526,563, significantly more than its £450,000 goal.
