LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule has revealed its debut PS4 project, Tearaway Unfolded.
It's billed as "an expanded retelling of the original" 2012 Vita game, which went on to win several BAFTA Game awards.
Media Molecule is using the DualShock 4's more distinct capabilities to offer richer interactivity in the game. The light bar from the controller, for example, can be used as a virtual in-game torch, while the touch pad is used to pull and hold platforms for the game's hero Iota.
Swipes of the touch-pad can also, for example, be used to generate wind and part the sea. The DualShock 4's accelerometers also control Iota when flying paper planes.
The papier-mâché world of Tearaway Unfolded will ship at some stage in 2015, Sony said.
In February 2013, Media Molecule showcased a prototype PS4 creation game built around PlayStation Move. The studio has not revealed anything on the project since.
