Sega has released an all-CGI trailer for Alien Isolation, a game it has been showing with real in-game footage for several months.
This new video, which is void of any actual gameplay, focusses on Amanda Ripley's need to scavenge for resources that can help her fight to survive her encounter with the Xenomorph alien.
Amanda, the daughter of the original Alien movie's lead character Ellen Ripley, has been plunged into a similar predicament to her mother when she finds herself stranded on a deserted Nostromo space station with a deadly Xenomorph.
The publisher announced in July that key cast members from Ridley Scott's 1979 film will be reunited in a series of bonus DLC missions.
Sigourney Weaver and a number of her movie co-stars will offer their voice and likeness to two extra levels based on classic scenes from the film, one in which Nostromo crewmembers bid to lure the Xenomorph into the ship's airlock. Another mission will see Ripley attempting to activate the ship's self-destruct sequence before escaping on the Narcissus.
Sega has confirmed an Alien Isolation release date of October 7 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
