Sucker Punch Productions has suffered a round of layoffs, parent company Sony has confirmed.
Sony didn't specify how many staff members were affected by the cuts at the Washington, US-based studio, which is best known for its work on the Infamous and Sly Cooper series.
"SCEA can confirm a reduction in workforce has taken place at Sucker Punch Productions," the firm said in a statement issued to IGN.
"Sucker Punch is appreciative of the tremendous work team members contributed to the Infamous and Sly Cooper series, and wishes them the best in their next endeavors."
The studio's first Sony project was 2002 PS2 game Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. It also developed a number of follow-up Sly games before creating Infamous, which released on PS3 in 2009.
The studio's most recent game, March 2014's Infamous Second Son, was its first for PS4.
A standalone DLC spin-off, Infamous First Light, will be released online on August 26 in North America and on August 27 in Europe, priced at $14.99/€14.99. Sony's European arm will also release a Blu-ray version on September 10.
