Minecraft PS4 possibly delayed following failed certification

Developer 4J Studios working to fix issues discovered in testing

The PS4 version of Minecraft may miss its targeted August release window after failing Sony's certification process.

"Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of Minecraft PS4," confirmed Minecraft console developer 4J Studios in Twitter post on Wednesday.

"We're fixing, but we need to go through the process again," they added. 4J Studios was working to have the Vita, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game finished in time for release this month.

But considering the last PS Store update of August is on the 26th/27th (US and EU respectively), an August release for the game would appear unlikely. Sony's approval process is believed to take anywhere between a week to two weeks from the point of submission.

It's unclear whether or not this will affect the Vita release - for now all other versions are expected to release as planned.
