Assassin's Creed Unity video talks Arno with voice actor

Main character joins Brotherhood as "means to an end"

The voice actor of Assassin's Creed Unity protagonist Arno Dorian appears in a new video from Ubisoft published last week, in which he discusses what drew him to the role and his character's changing relationship with the Assassin's Order.

Dan Jeanotte reveals that Arno is drawn into the order for utilitarian purposes, rather than from his lineage or some innate desire to take down the Templars.

"He comes into the Assassin brotherhood thinking of it as a means to an end," Jeanotte says in the video. "It's going to help him achieve what he wants selfishly. But then being part of the brotherhood, he realizes that he's part of something much bigger."

Aside from voicing Arno, Jeanotte also put on a motion capture suit to act out many of the game's cinematic scenes, a process which he said helped him better understand the character. Stunt professionals were brought in for some of the more elaborate acrobatics, however.

The Assassin's Creed Unity release date is October 28 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
