Koei Tecmo has revealed that a new-gen version of Dead Or Alive 5 will be released next year.
Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round is in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will launch in Japan in Spring 2015.
The news was confirmed by Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi, who revealed the game and showed off a teaser trailer (below) at the Japan Gamer's Live event.
Last Round will be the fifth version of Dead Or Alive 5 released by Koei Tecmo.
The original version launched in September 2012, with CVG's review at the time concluding: "DOA5 isn't perfect. It isn't hardcore, it isn't even a big step up from DOA4. What it is, though, is cracking fun, a fighter that's great to watch and feels even better to play."
This was followed by enhanced Vita port Dead Or Alive Plus, then the updated Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate (which featured new characters and modes).
The latter was then released in free-to-play form as Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters.
