Easter goodies emerge in Wild World

Pressies delivered straight to your Animal Crossing abode this weekend, courtesy of Nintendo
It's no secret that we'd much rather live our lives in the warm, fuzzy world of Animal Crossing: Wild World, spending our days lazily yanking up plants, hacking down trees and flirting with porcupines. Now, Nintendo is offering even more incentive to spend the Easter holidays with our heads buried firmly in the flaps of our DS, with the news that Wild World users can download special presents from this Friday.

By connecting to Nintendo's Wi-fi Connection service between Good Friday and the end of Easter weekend, you'll recieve a special letter from the company, crammed right into your mailbox and containing some currently undisclosed goodies. Last time something like this happened, US punters got a letter straight from Nintendo head Satoru Iwata (presumably he wasn't writing each one by hand), bundled with an 8-bit coin directly from the original Super Mario Bros. - quite a nice talking point, if nothing else.

To be honest, we don't know what this Easter weekend will bring, but we'll be more than happy if it's an enormous gyrating Mario in a thong. Actually, we'd probably be more terrified than happy, but you get the general idea.

See? Nintendo loves Europe after all.

Nintendo doesn't love Europe, it's just some content. I mean how long did we wait for the GC Animal Crossing? Anyway, yay for Animal Crossing!

Well I for one will be sure to get my Nintendo letter and present. I only wish I knew more people with a DS to play online with.
