21-Jun-2006 The hip-hop hellraisers return for more urban uproar.
This prequel to Def Jam Vendetta features over 40 playable hip-hop stars, including
Busta Rhymes, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, N.O.R.E., Redman, Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg and Xzibit. And Carmen Electra.

The story reveals how D-Mob got to rule New York (as if we care), and includes plenty of new venues and new combat moves within five fighting styles. You can now climb on top of floored opponents to stomp and beat them into submission, and crowd members play a more active part in fights by occasionally holding an opponent for you while you rough him up.

PSP-exclusive features are thin on the ground, but all the fighter customization options have made the leap to the handheld and there are one-on-one Wi-Fi fights. Visually it's pretty close to the PS2 game, with most of the detail intact.
