New Red Orchestra content detailed

Friday 21-Jul-2006 10:58 AM Fresh tweaks and new map coming for the acclaimed WWII Steam shooter
Tripwire has announced details of a free content release for its game Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, which is due to hit Steam at the end of next week.

The update, which is the latest in a series of planned content releases, adds one new map, smoke grenades, modified tank reloading, tweaked victory conditions and a number of other fixes including solutions for choppy voice-over-IP problems.

The new map, called 'Lyes Krovy', takes place in a forest in northern Russia and is said to already be a firm favourite within the test team. You're tasked with fighting for a German trench-and-bunker position in a close-quarters battle, with Soviets assaulting and Germans doing their best to hold them off.

The update goes live on Steam on Thursday, July 27. We'll let you know when word hits on the other planned releases.
