Battlestar Galactica heads Xbox Live-ward

A Battlestar Galactica 'recap' TV show, which summarises key plot events in the first two seasons of the popular sci-fi series will be aired on Xbox Live Marketplace to pave the way for season 3's debut in October.

Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far is being produced by the Sci-Fi channel and, according to reports States-side, will also feature on numerous cable channels owned by the Sci-Fi channel's parent company NBC Universal. It's currently thought that the programme may only be available on Marketplace to US punters when it's released on the Microsoft platform.

A bit of a first for MS's Live service? Absolutely, but when will The Story So Far appear? Well, that's still TBC. Neither has there been any mention of Marketplace pricing, although it's speculated that the show may be offered for free due to its promotional nature.

Battlestar Galactica, in case you're unaware, is a reinvention of the old sci-fi TV series of the same name that first appeared in the late 1970s. New Battlestar Galactica arrived in 2003, and has since won itself numerous fans.

I love the new Battlestar Galactica with a passion but I don't have an Xbox and this seems like a bit of a strange news story so... yeah.
