Red Steel unsheathed in fresh Wii screenshots

Fresh from Nintendo's European Wii bash we've got four new Red Steel shots showing off Ubisoft's sword-slasher, which is looking even better than when we last saw it at the Leipzig Games Convention.

Past play impressions have painted a promising picture for the Wii-waving shooter, which lets you swing katana swords at yakuza gang bosses, as well as blast their henchman modern-style with an arsenal of guns and explosives. Thankfully, Ubi have also addressed the previously 'fixed' sword controls, which now emulate your every gesture, leaving you free to look like even more of a prat in front of the telly.

Red Steel launches alongside the Wii on December 8.

Although the game might prove to be a bit too gimmicky with the sword weilding/Wii Remote controls, the graphics certainly look very good for a standard definition game. I hope they've fixed that v-sync tearing that was in the E3 demonstation though...

Looking good, and the developers have said you'll be able to adjust the sensitivity of the mote on release. Meaning you can play it like Metroid prime was shown bing played recently, YAH!

Yes the graphics looking very good. If the gameplay is also good, then nintendo has an Ace.

All hail the mighty Wii. Tbh, I'm happy with the standard of graphics on the gamecube. If the gameplay is good enough etc... etc...
